I arrived to Caskinette Ford in Carthage late on a Saturday afternoon and I knew exactly what I was looking for. My representative Christopher Vlachos was beyond helpful. He walked the entire lot with me so I was able to view the inventory inside and out. My requests for my new car were specific and even though the exact color of vehicle I wanted was not on the lot that day, he went above and beyond to make it available to me and not once tried to talk me into something else (which I found very professional). This was a salesman who was actually listening to me and what I wanted and also managed to keep me in my budget! Everything about my experience with Caskinette Ford was positive; I would definitely recommend them to others searching for a new car. Absolutely wonder! The level of professionalism is over the top compared to other dealerships. Defiantly would recommend any body to go there. When I got the truck it had a check engine light come on and they took care of it no problem. Will continue to do business for years to come at Caskinettes.

Dan Jackson is very good at what he does. he took the time to not only make sure I have all the accessories that I wanted while I was ordering my vehicle but he also walked me through all of them when my car arrived to make sure I knew that they were on the vehicle and showed me how they worked. He made sure I was completely satisfied with the car. I would definitely recommend Caskinette's if anyone wanted a new or used vehicle

Long Distance Purchase - Bought Sight Unseen!

We found online at Caskinette's a used Honda Pilot that was modified handicapped. We liked what we saw on the website, and liked what we heard on the phone and texts. We felt we could trust them and bought it from SC without ever having seen it in person! They were so competent and helpful that it went without a hitch. We flew our son up and they met him at the airport in Syracuse and drove him to the dealership. I had prepaid, so they showed him how to operate it, handed him the keys, and off he went! Highly recommend, ya'll!

Miss the Harleys..

They let me play my guitar on the side of the business. A couple liked it. A guy went and told terry and Liz and Gary they like the idea of live entertainment. It was ok, like the new receptionist she was very friendly. Oh air filter was bad, and showed me that it was so nice. Showed shop manager rust under vehicle on the frame (paint came off. Truck is still under warranty 34,000+ miles. Service shop explained it was the weather salt, winter up here (why doesn't ford think of these things, just like the crap that comes up from the passenger side from my wheels spinning, and gets all over my engine, salt dirt). Pretty much nothing can be done. Oh well hope the engine doesn't fall Out and I hear that lol... have a great day...cb F-150 4wd 2013 5 lit engine, full size bed 8' bought Oct- 2013 7 yrs 70,000 miles

2004 F150 repair

I am overall pleased with the service that was provided. Although I had to call to get an update regarding my vehicle a day after the service was scheduled to be completed, the service representative gave me an acceptable reason for that. Being in the military and new to the North Country, there are a lot of perceptions that faults and subsequently the repair costs are increased here. This was true at a near Ford dealership but not at Caskinette's Ford. This is now my place of choice for my automotive needs.

We felt that the sales representative was exceptional, he explained everything to us and answered all our questions. We were very happy with the customer service. The only thing we have noticed is that the truck was not cleaned from the time we bought it to the time we picked it up. We had inquired that this would be done and it was told to us that they go through and wipe it down at the same time they did a final check of everything. This was the only thing that was not done. A very nice modern looking with a hometown-feel dealership and the staff is top notch. After buying my Fusion at Caskinette's I plan to go back for all my vehicle needs. F150 service

The service provided was spot on as usual. I was a bit confused regarding the pricing. We had a coupon for "the works" which is exactly what was performed. The price on the coupon was for $39.99. I also had a coupon from the internet via email for the same or perhaps even less. Anyway I gave the coupon to the service writer when we checked in and she stapled it to the work order. When the service was complete and we went to check out the total came to $48.98 including tax. This just doesn't quite add up to me. With tax on $39.99 we were expecting a tab of $43.09 give or take. Examining the invoice did not offer any further clarification as to where the extra $5 came from. Ok, $5 isn't much to quibble over it was just a little confusing is all.

I hate to write a bad review

My internet searching led me to this dealership for a hard to find used truck. After a long negotiation I purchased the vehicle over the phone without seeing it. When I arrived to pick up the vehicle someone bumped ahead of my 9 o'clock appt. It was a loose appt so I was not terribly upset. I noticed the photos of the tires on the internet were of the "good" tires and not of the bologna skins on the back. I also made a comment that the vehicle smelled like a disgusting ash tray. The response was "Oh, our ionizer is broken. That takes care of the smoke smell." I regret purchasing the vehicle for that sole reason. My wife refuses to ride in it and wants me to purchase a new truck. After we had signed the paperwork I was set to leave only to find out that they had forgotten to install the heated seat and remote start as negotiated. They rushed the vehicle in and installed both. I think that the tech actually ripped the side of the leather seat when they installed the heated seat. Needless to say it was a long day purchasing the vehicle. On the defense of the dealership- They did purchase two new rear tires for me. It was very fair and appreciated. They tried to renegotiate the replacement cost of the tires after they were installed but in the end did pay the price they agreed to originally. Communication with my sales person was not great. Texts and emails go unanswered. I probably will never buy a vehicle over the internet again. I had assumed a level of trust was in place because I was purchasing through a Ford dealership. You would assume that a used vehicle at a dealership would not have tires that are barely legal and smell of an ash tray. That trust level has been lowered. I regret signing on the line and purchasing this vehicle.

I arrived about 45 minutes early for my appointment. They didn't make me wait at all. In fact, I actually got Out of there before my scheduled appointment. Fast, fast service. The only thing I could recommend is to make sure the electronics offered in the children's play room WORK. The TV/DVD player and the video game didn't work.

Couldn't ask for better dealership/staff

My lease was almost up. I was going to be going to have my car serviced so I spoke to Dan Jackson prior to the appointment so that we could have time to discuss options while I was there. He gave me several options to choose from as I had a lot of questions. He was very patient. He spoke with Bob Freeman several times for me and between the two of them gave me exactly what I was looking for. A 2015 AWD Escape that lowered my payments. To be honest this is my 5th vehicle that I've leased through the dealership, working with Dan every time. I couldn't ask for a better person to help me when I call and say this is what I'm looking for what can you do for me. He gives me options and lets me make the final decision with no pressure. Furthermore, I could get my car serviced at a Ford dealership in Watertown or Adams that would be closer to my home than to travel to Carthage. I wouldn't dream of it. The service department is exceptional and another reason I continue to come back to the Lofink/Caskinette dealership. I can't thank Dan Jackson and Bob Freeman enough for all their work. Great Service, Dependable, & Efficient

I purchased a 2006 F-150 FX4 Extended Cab Pickup truck at a local used car dealership in 2012. That dealership has since gone Out of business and I had nowhere to take my truck for service. I've taken it to Lofink Ford twice now, and both times the service has been remarkable. For the most recent service, I needed my truck repaired within two days as I needed to go Out of town for work. I called Lofink Ford and they had my truck repaired within a day. They guaranteed the work for two years and also gave me a discount through a coupon I had received in the mail. Very easy to deal with and I will be bringing my truck back for future service, and will most likely be purchasing my next vehicle there. GREAT JOB LOFINK FORD!!

I was very satisfied with my experience with Craig. I felt our deal was amicable for both of us. I love the new truck. I also appreciatcate the fact Craig got an extended warranty getting a lower interest rate and saving me money. I would take a look at the detail person. Our truck and a few others I test drove had several cleaning issues. Trucks within a year old showed like much older abused vehicles. Overall I was very happy and plan to buy here in the future. We went in for service on another vehicle and my wife saw a silver fusion and became very interested. She only had 35700 on her 2012 fusion SEL but the floor model caught her eye. They bent over backwards to find a comparable fusion in silver. They walked her through everything on the car and the sale. They treated her very courteous and respectful as a female buyer. I was just there for her support and not involved with details and numbers. Saying that, I wouldn't hesitate to send her alone to buy next time or let my daughter go alone. I TRUST them. That's says it all

Transmission problems:

F-150, service was good, staff was helpful. My truck is experiencing transmissions down shifting problems. Evidently it doesn't leave a message, or a code, nor a light on the dash when it does. Today's mechanics don't seem to know how to diagnose a problem unless a computer can find it??? This is the second F-150 with a six speed automatic transmission I have owned that did the same thing. Seems odd, and I wonder if there isn't a service bulletin that refers to this condition?

The staff are very accommodating and not pushy. I really do appreciate the fact that Jenna & Derek took extra effort to make sure I got what I needed when I came in. The other staff as well were helpful when I was waiting. A customer feels welcome when they come in but not feeling like they are being attacked sharks. The facility is also very clean. I would have given 5 stars but I found 1 flaw. When I got in the car, there were no floor mats :). It's no big deal but it would have been nice to know before I crumpled the protective layer.

I purchased a 2015 ford fusion. The service was excellent I walked in and boom a gentleman named Dan Jackson approached me already knowing who I was without ever meeting me. He helped my father get into a brand new f150 also. He was very helpful and descriptive about my cars features and tech which was fantastic because all my other cars were basic package. I have been to other dealerships before but this was far the most pleasant and stress free purchase of my life. I will recommend your company to everyone who says they are looking for a new vehicle.

I purchased a 2007 Honda CRV and traded in a Honda Element. Craig was our salesperson. The process went smoothly; with no complaints at all. We additionally ordered heated seat kits, which should come in soon and then we will schedule for install. So I can't comment on that yet. As Craig knows, I very much dislike car shopping. I'd rather go to the dentist. That said, I've also purchased quite a few vehicles through Caskinettes (3 in the last 10 years for personal use and 3 in the last 4 years for work use). So while car shopping is not on my list of fun experiences, the fact that I keep returning to Caskinettes says a lot.

Great Service, great place

We bought our vehicle 6 years ago from Caskinette Ford and continue to drive an hour to get it serviced there. The staff has always been friendly and knowledgeable. They don't push service on you that you don't want or need. All of the work that they have done on my vehicle has been exceptional. On my last visit, Dave, the manager, went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and kept me updated on my vehicle repairs. The waiting area is great and they even have a room for the kids to play if you have to bring them with you. I will continue to drive to Carthage for my vehicle repairs and would definitely recommend Caskinette Lofink Ford.

Slow service

We had hour long wait times for an oil change twice now. Instead of rotating workers through lunch, they send everybody on break at one time. We also discovered a leak due you the oil filter not being tightened all the way. We won't be coming back.

Stopped when the service light came on to see what needed to be done. They made arrangements to get it right in instead of having to make an appointment. Most impressive was I was allowed to bring my dog into the waiting area so that the service staff had access to my vehicle and not upset my dog! They called about the warranty to see if the service would be covered. I was informed at the start of approximate cost so that there would be no surprises.

Leased 2014 F150 Super Crew STX. Sales Associate. Brian Staab. At first, there was lots of Snow on the vehicles so it was nearly impossible to look at vehicles at 4:00pm. However, after shopping all day at other dealers I knew exactly what I wanted and set on a given price. As with all dealers, you go back and forth. However, Brian Staab was very knowledgeable and personable. He did not urge or push you to take a deal. We settled on a good lease price that I was comfortable with. Incredible buying experience!!!

We went there Dec 30th to find Out about our options for getting rid of our Mustang and the lease end for our truck and had the pleasure of meeting Jeff, who made us feel welcome and in good hands right away. Somehow he made it possible to take both of our cars as trades for a brand new truck and still save us tons of money. The process was so fast that we left the dealership with our new truck Dec. 31st. We felt like Jeff had only our interests and needs in mind the whole time and did everything to get us the best deal. We didn't feel like just another costumer at all! Amazing salesman

He noticed the DOD sticker on my car and thanked me for my service. He answered my questions quickly and honestly. I called to get a part replaced and they were able to get my vehicle in the same day even though I was later than expected. Jerry with the body shop was very accommodating and pleasant. We just leased a new 2015 Ford fusion from Derrick Howland and love the car. Derrick Howland knew we were at the end of our lease and was looking for a good deal to get us into a new car before our lease ran out. Derrick called us when he found a great lease deal and we went up to look at the car and we're in and Out of the dealership with a new 2015 car inside of 3 hours and that was great. Derrick is a great salesman that does anything that he can to make you a repeat costumer. My husband and I think we have a very good friendship with Derrick and will keep dealing with him.

Derrick leased me my F-150 truck and I love it. Derrick is one of the best car salesman that I have ever dealt with in any car dealership. Derrick is a very friendly guy and goes Out of his way to do anything that he can to make sure that your buying or leasing experience is one of the best. I myself have called Derrick several times throughout the buying process with different questions on my truck and Derrick was there for me or he would call me back the same day. Derrick Howland was easy to sit down and talk to about vehicles. He when we decided on a vehicle, Derrick figure up the monthly payments couple of ways and also for leasing. He explained how leasing worked where we could understand it. One thing I really like about Derrick, he did not pressure us on purchasing or leasing a vehicle. This is the second vehicle I purchased/leased from Derrick and it won't be the last. My two sons even purchased through Derrick. I recommend going to see Derrick when friends ask me about my new ford.

Service on 2014 Ford Edge

My wife scheduled our 2014 Edge in for what she thought was an oil change due to an "engine" symbol on the dashboard - a new symbol for us. When I brought it in for her to service, the service folks asked me our mileage - that is when we realized it wasn't ready for an oil change. Service said with that symbol they would check it out. They discovered it was an environmental part and it was not on hand so service said they'd order the part and call me when the part came in. This was on a Friday and service called me back on Tuesday that the part was in - we scheduled it and this visit was to clear the "engine" symbol - which it did. Please thank the service team for being understanding and helpful.

He introduced himself and explained that there were some good incentives that could lower my payments. He wasn't pushy like other salesmen I have dealt with, but was very polite and professional and made me feel he was there to help me. Derrick Howland was very friendly, polite and professional. He made sure to notify me every step of the way during the buying process and made sure my new car was set up for me (the SYNC system, the My Key, etc.) when it came in. Good Sales experience

We went to Caskinette's because of vehicle choice. I checked the dealer inventory on line. All of the other Ford dealers in our area had from 4 - 8 Edge vehicles in stock. Caskinette's had 17. Best customer service!!

I have been looking for a new used car for quite some time now and I just couldn't find what I wanted in my price range. I called Caskinette ford to inquire about a price for an escape they had listed but sadly it was above my price range. Without me knowing it, Frank Donato continued to search for the car I wanted in my price range and called me a few days later to tell me he had found one! Now THAT is good customer service! I live about an hour away so he worked with my bank and insurance company to make sure that I would be able drive away in my new car on Saturday! So good I drive 170 miles to use this dealership

I have now bought 4 vehicles from Lofink: 2005 Mustang, 2001 Thunderbird, 2005 F150, and 2014 F150. I live in the Albany area where there are at least 4 or 5 Ford dealers but I choose to drive 3 hours to use Lofink Ford because they are THAT much better. From the second you walk in, you're a VIP. Unlike others, they have all their stuff in order so the buying process is smooth and easy. They got me a great rate for my financing, got me in and Out with no headaches or trouble, and treated me like family the whole time. My salesman Joe Archer is simply phenomenal, as is the GM Lynn Leonard. I have yet to find a Ford dealership, or any other brand for that matter, who is as honest, fair, efficient, and pleasant to deal with as Lofink. I run my own business and our core principle is integrity, so you can guess that integrity is an important thing I look for in other businesses I deal with. Lofink Ford has that integrity in spades. You simply will not find a better Ford dealer anywhere. If you wouldn't drive 3 hours to use your current dealership, maybe you should think about switching to Lofink...

A great, pain-free experience

I was looking for a very specific vehicle in terms of model, color, and options and these guys made it happen. Frank Donato and Caskinette's found the car I wanted and brought it in, even though they had to go to a dealer in another state to get it. Everything was handled in a very professional manner, and I was never made to feel like a pain in the ....rear, even though I know I pretty much was one. I used to work at car dealership, and I wish that place conducted business like Caskinette's. It'll be a sad day when I have to leave the North Country and this dealership.

My Mustang

I stopped into the dealership to look at a used 2013 Mustang GT they had listed online. The price had been lowered that morning (pleasant surprise) and I looked the car over. The salesman (Tom) was very helpful and I felt no pressure at all. I returned the next day and decided it was the one. I had arranged financing through my credit union. But Tom said they might find a better rate. They ended up a half percent below what I thought was an excellent rate. They offered an extended warranty at a pretty good price and surprised me with extending the coverage period at the original quoted cost. We came back Monday to finish the deal. The paperwork was ready and 15 minutes later I drove away with the car. Basically, they gave me the car I wanted, at a payment below what I anticipated. Oh yeah, and an extended warranty to sweeten the deal. Very impressed with how they seemed to be working on my behalf, unlike some others I have dealt with. I will be doing business there again when the need arises.

Tremendous experience

Buying a new car is near the top of my least favorite things to do list. Going to Caskinette's, which is 75 miles from my home, made my latest purchase painless. I have to say most of the credit goes to Derrick at Caskinette's who made me feel right at home. He was well informed about the vehicle I ended up buying, very responsive to my numerous phone calls and e-mails, and extremely helpful in dealing with my bank and my insurance agent. I won't be back in the market for a while but despite the distance from my home I will begin my next car search in Carthage. Thanks, Derrick.

Incredible Customer Service!!!

My car died right before a trip to see my parents so I was forced to rent a car. I never expected to find a car I wanted (much less, buy one) during the week I was in NY. Kip at Caskinette's was amazing! I was not an easy customer as I am a student, a mother, and I was on a time limit. They even handled all the Virginia DMV paperwork from 4 states away. Not once, did anyone at the dealership make me feel like I was as much trouble as I know I was. Everyone there went Out of their way to make my deal happen and I appreciate them more than they could ever imagine. The customer service is Outstanding, from the sales floor to the financing department to the support staff. When it is time to buy another car, I have no reason to go anywhere else, even if it means traveling 700 miles from home.

Great buying experience!

We had a great experience purchasing a used vehicle from Caskinette's Ford. Gerald Boyer, our sales rep, was courteous, knowledgeable, not high pressure, answered all our questions, got us a great finance rate, made sure the vehicle was prepped according to our requests, and spent a lot of time going over the vehicle with my wife showing her how to use all the "bells & whistles". Management also made sure that we were completely happy with our purchase. Even though it is a 3 hour round trip for us we would definitely purchase a vehicle here again. Thanks!

The Best of the Best

I learned of Caskinette Ford in my last few years on Active Duty Military. Joe Arcker was the best of the best. Kind, helpful made you felt he cared about me as a person and respected my service to the country. To make a long story short, I retired from Active Duty from Fort Drum, NY after 23 years. I had a leased SF150 from them with plans to stay in NY but life changed and I moved towards Kansas to help parents, that fell through and ended up accepting a job with the VA in Hot Springs Arkansas. The Ford dealings her in Hot Springs and Little Rock Arkansas were rude, nasty and NOT HELPFUL to me at all when I needed to find Out what to do about a leased truck with NY tags. I will NOT ever go to any of these dealers here. I'm a Life Time Ford customer and I do not plan to change. I will travel all the way back to Caskinette Ford to return my leaded ford and buy a new one. Craig Caskinette is also helping with this process. I know that it will cost me money but I do not care because I'm a good person that needs to be treated with respect and they have done this for me for the last 3 years in my time of need.

Outstanding Sales & Service

I recently leased my second Ford Escape from this dealership, with the assistance of their sales manager Joe Archer. About four years ago I was looking for a Ford dealership and Caskinette's was highly recommended for quality sales & service. The first person we meet at Caskinette's was Joe who gave us an overview of the dealership. We left with the purchase of a new truck and great respect for the personnel that we met. The Service Dept. does a great job informing you when vehicle mileage service is due and the work is done in a timely manner. I also recommended a friend to Joe Archer for a used car and one was purchased that day. It is well worth your time to stop in at Caskinette's see Joe Archer and form a comfortable relationship with this Ford dealer.

How to earn an A!

I retired from teaching this year and all my students had to work extremely hard to earn an A. A few days ago my husband and I decided to go shopping for a new vehicle. I love the Ford Flex, but our intentions were only to LOOK! I feel we were both very fortunate to meet and spend some time with Joe Archer of Caskinette Lofink. We found Joe to be extremely knowledgeable about the automobile business but more importantly he was very polite and is a wonderful assets to your organization. We bought the Ford Flex and Joe earned an A! Two and a half years ago, my parents recommended me to go to Caskinettes when I was looking to upgrade my car. Craig Caskinette is a very helpful and reliable sales man. He helped me find the exact car that I wanted, a 2011 Ford Focus, brand new. Recently I decided that I wanted to trade my car in again so I got ahold of Craig and he went on the lookout for the type of car that I wanted, as well as to find me the best deal. I went down a few days later and Craig took care of everything for me. Everyone at Caskinette's is so helpful and takes care of everything that needs to be done. We found the SUV that I wanted, took it for a drive and then went in to start the paperwork. While we were waiting for the paperwork to come back from the bank, we took a trip over to the local pizza place, enjoyed a great lunch and when we got back everything was done and we were ready to go. This is a great car dealership and I won't go to another one.

Quality Service

I was referred to Caskinette's a coworker and we had previously purchased my husband's truck from this dealer. Rick Caskinette called me to do a needs assessment prior to my going to the dealer. When we arrived, Craig Caskinette was waiting for us. What a pleasant young man, very intent in making our experience a memorable one and very sincere. We took a test drive and he explained different details of the vehicle. There was never any pressure and his sincerity was genuine. When we left Craig said he would call me the next day with answers to my questions which he did. We bought the vehicle. Before we left Rick Caskinette came out to thank us for doing business with them. I would recommend this dealership as well as Rick and Craig Caskinette to anyone. We are senior citizens and Craig Caskinette is quite young. He treated us with respect and listened to what we had to say. He definitely earned our business and respect as well. A job well done!

Very Positive Experience

I purchased a pre-owned Ford Escape last week from Caskinette's Lofink Ford in Carthage. I am very pleased with the service I received at the time of the purchase, with the vehicle I bought, and with the future protection promised my extended warranty and the Ford Roadside Assistance Plan. Craig Caskinette is a very personable young man, in addition to being an excellent sales consultant. I had researched the dealer's inventory online and was quite sure of the car I wanted. Craig helped me confirm this informatively answering all of my questions and working to make the purchase financially possible for me. I found the entire staff at Caskinette's to be very friendly, but also discreet and businesslike when it came to working out the financial aspects of the purchase. Craig privately conferred with other staff members in the business department, but I did not have to confer with anyone but Craig. There was no high pressure whatsoever. I thoroughly enjoyed doing business with Craig as well as visiting in a friendly manner about our shared interests. He took the time to listen to all of my car concerns -- and my lifetime "stories.". It was a positive and fun experience--and I got a car I love!
